Transition(s)

Transition(s)
by BlackLion with Starcat

When walking my path, I have sometimes come to a nexus point where the choices I make will lead to dramatic and life-altering changes in my life. Sure, every choice is potentially like that, but removing a whole branch from this growing life tree that I am creating is a whole different experience.

I am now in an unburdening phase. I am freeing up energies that I should have freed up months ago but were not quite fully ripened. The juices were gathering and not quite ready to burst with flavor. Now that the branch has been freed, I am full of the fruits of new life and new energy!

Of course, I am also experiencing a little bit of “what-if” as well. What if I had only done more practice? What if I had tried a little harder? What if I had chosen to dedicate myself more to this? What if I hadn’t found other creative expressions that I enjoy more?

The best approach is to think those thoughts and then let them go. Those thoughts are not necessary to moving forward, and once you’ve made a choice, it is important to follow through with it.

If you are in a transition phase or have just given up something you held dear for so long, or gained something you have long been seeking, take a moment and reflect. Know that all the changes that you are making right now will have continuous effects on your life as you move forward, effects that are both positive and negative. Just remember to be yourself, follow your truth and know that if it feels right, you are on the right path.

At times the energy may feel chaotic, so remember to breathe and ground yourself as well. Or if you are a thrill-seeker, follow the roller coaster of emotions you are in and go along for the ride. Just remember, when it’s time to get off the ride, do take the time for grounding and breathing.

It is an exciting time in my life where a veil I had put over my eyes has been lifted by making this choice. It’s an amazing feeling to let go of something that served me well for the time I was doing it, letting it go when it was the right time to do so and not holding on to it when it no longer served me. And now I am free to pursue my creative thoughts as I wish. Not that I was burdened by anyone else’s methods, I just imposed those on myself without realizing until much later.

I feel freer than I have in a long time. Perhaps by choosing wisely, the universe is gifting me with the rewards I have put before myself. The energies I have freed up are now available to work on the things I really want to focus on!

If you are facing such a decision in your life, change the things that are not feeling right into things that do feel right and trust me, you will find that YOUR path is THE path you must follow to be truly happy! Good luck and many blessings!

Energy Conservation

Energy Conservation

Have you ever noticed how much energy is being “wasted” on things that are unnecessary? Things such as heating the food under the heat lamp in the cafeteria, the billions spent on political advertisements, and millions of people surfing hundreds of channels of repetitive TV programming. What could we really spend our energy on instead?

By making wise choices, it would be possible for everyone to be fed and clothed and housed and be taken care of in this physical plane. As a society, we have the technology and the means, yet we choose to chase money and power instead of assisting each other. We have all heard of energy conservation, reducing the use of oil and gas and using better energy sources such as wind or solar. How about personal energy conservation? In order to reach the goals of a more humane society, we each need to focus on becoming our best selves. By changing ourselves, we change the world.

The energy we waste on entertainment, competition and power-grabbing could instead be spent on creative pursuits. We could focus on what our real goals are, rather than false goals that the media or government or schools are telling us to work for. We have a tendency to “waste” our personal energy on worrying and feeling bad for ourselves. In this culture, which is one of physical abundance for the most part, we may feel “poor” in comparison to what we see in the media, even though we have plenty of food and a place to live. Instead of focusing on what we lack, what if we put that energy into following our dreams?

How do we do that? Do what feels right. Use our talents to aid those who need it. Spend time and energy on the pursuits and desires that best complete us as beings, where we create and enjoy our lives while helping and sharing with others.

When we don’t need to worry about where we are going to live, or where we are going to get the next meal, then we can be inspired to create beautiful and wonderful things. Many people wish to help others by becoming a healer, builder, or teacher, or a producer of solar panels, bringing together their calling with physical-world energy conservation. If there are jobs that not many people like doing, those can be shared, and taken care of in less time with group effort.

We can learn to interact with the world, creating as well as receiving ideas, inventions, and recreations. Manifest the images and thoughts in our heads. The more creativity in the world, the more the creative process will be valued as a real way to express ourselves as complete beings. Everyone expresses themselves in different ways. By combining and sharing our talents and expressions of Love, whether it is gardening, cooking, carpentry, glassblowing, painting, drawing, singing, or dancing, we are able to take care of ourselves and each other in positive and truly enriching ways.

Right now, many of us are unaware of our calling, and perhaps are not ready to awaken. It may be hard for us to shift instantly from the models we are accustomed to. But with continued support and assistance and the encouragement to learn about ourselves, then we will all be able to understand how to find our true purpose.

Everyone has this potential. One day we can all know that it is okay to Love unconditionally, all the time. We are each unique and will be valued for who we really are. We will return again and again onto this plane, and create a better world for ourselves, our loved ones, and all beings.

The BibLion is In, Great!

We’ve just added a new page, BibLion, which is a list of books we’ve read that may interest you. It’s part of our self-designed curriculum for metaphysical studies, which, of course, we’re making up as we go along. We’ll keep adding new finds, so check back later, too. If you have any recommendations to add, please leave your comments and feedback. We love our fellow bookkittens! :)

Energy Sources: Earth

You Are What You Eat
by BlackLion and Starcat

Our physical manifestation on this world comes directly from the earth itself; it is the physical source of our being. We often forget that both we and the earth are made from stars. So we are both earth beings and star beings, all at the same time!

As our friend Dana says, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Sometimes it seems like a chore to focus on mundane tasks and the physical realm, particularly if we are raising our energies and working with the unseen realms. However, if we focus exclusively on these mundane matters, we can get stuck in a rut and forget about lending energy to our dreams and goals. So it is a matter of balance, and of understanding that our earthly manifestations are intimately connected to the stars and our higher consciousness. How can we find that balance?

One way to stay connected with both the stars and the earth is by eating well. Since the earth is made from the stuff of stars, so is the food that grows from it. The vegetables, fruits and grains that we eat (or are made into what we eat) are all grown from the nutrients and soil of the earth. With aid from all the elements, these small plant beings grow and flourish and transform earth into life. We transform those growing things into ourselves.

By eating foods close to the source and unmanipulated, we can more directly feel the energies that the earth is offering to us. Genetically modified or conventional pesticide-controlled plants do not offer the same energies and can potentially even be harmful to our bodies. Foods that contain animal products, especially animal muscles, often have the last chemical releases of fear and anguish stored deeply inside them from when the animal was killed. However, eating a vegan and organically grown diet will better allow the energies of the earth to freely flow through us.

Perhaps the best and most nourishing food is that which we grow ourselves. Even a small vegetable or herb garden will bring more positive earth energy onto our plates. When we tend our plants, we can talk to them. Thank the faeries that are watching over them and helping them to grow. Leave offerings to the spirits and to the animals in the area, as a way of giving thanks and keeping the garden undisturbed. Visualize the process of stars becoming earth, earth becoming plants, and the plants we eat reenergizing our spirits. As we connect with the stars once again, we are completing the cycle of life, replenishing the universe with our energies and blessings.

We have all heard “we are what eat,” so remember, we are the earth and the stars!

Quote for Today

Hi all, Starcat here. I want to share with you this inspiring quote I got from an e-mail list. Enjoy!

“We began talking about an underlying feeling of unworthiness and it’s a
word that people throw around a lot, but the reason that we want to put
a little spotlight on it for just a moment is because when you are
connected to your source energy and the whole of you is flowing through,
you are liquid love. You love yourself, in which case your body thrives,
you love others in which case they benefit by being in your presence or
in your gaze. In other words, when you are allowing who you really are
to flow through you, you are like a breath of fresh air, you are healing
energy, you are clarifying energy, you are God force physically embodied
everywhere you go.”
